Fallon Ukpe, MD, MBA

Dr. Ukpe is an entrepreneur, venture capital investor, best selling author and speaker who is on a mission to transform bold ideas into world-changing impact through business and philanthropy.  She is Founder of The Vine, a technology, education and media company focused on inspiring the greatness within women worldwide as well as Managing Partner of Walnut & Sage, a firm focused on helping top tier professionals build high value brands, high growth companies and high impact non-profit organizations.

Prior to launching into entrepreneurship and investing, she was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, focused on serving healthcare and private equity clients.

Fallon is a first generation Nigerian American and a native of Houston, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University, a Doctor of Medicine from Duke University’s School of Medicine, and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

She is passionate about initiatives related to education and healthcare access as well as addressing issues related to gender and economic inequalities. Fallon often volunteers her time to mentor students and women entrepreneurs. She is an avid Duke Basketball fan who loves to travel and cook. She lives in the Los Angeles area with her Beagle named Riley.
