Full-time Stanford master degree programs—like MCiM—are eligible for student visas. This typically is a F-1 visa but, in some cases when eligibility is met, students are able to come to the US on a J-1 visa. All University sponsored visas are processed and administered by the Bechtel international center, this center is the best resource regarding visa questions.
MCiM has a required practicum as part of our program. Students on visas will transition to CPT/OPT visa status to complete the required practicum.
International students should note that while MCiM is aimed at working professionals, a Stanford student visa only support their ability to come to the US to engage with Stanford for the academic purpose. This means students should not expect to complete work in the US and MCiM under the student visa type.
