Research Interests:
My research is focused on ion channels and specifically their pharmacology, physiology, and the role of ion channel dysregulation in disease. I completed my PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Oxford, where I studied calcium-activated chloride channels. Following that, I moved to the US to do a postdoc at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where I studied the calcium activation of BK channels in neuronal excitability. Currently, in the Maduke lab, I use patch-clamp electrophysiology to explore the function of ClC channels.
