M-TRAM Internships

M-TRAM students have unique access to summer industry and research opportunities through our strong partnerships with biotech and pharmaceutical companies, as well as Stanford-based centers. While participation in these experiences is optional and positions are competitive, M-TRAM provides students with a distinct advantage through personalized introductions, active collaboration with industry partners, and access to curated opportunities. Many students successfully secure internship roles that align with their interests and career goals, supported by M-TRAM’s network and career resources.

These opportunities allow students to:

  • Engage in cutting-edge research and development projects

  • Develop practical skills in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and project management

  • Gain insights into the drug development process, from discovery to commercialization

  • Network with industry professionals and potential employers

  • Experience the day-to-day operations of leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies

M-TRAM students have successfully secured internships and research positions with the following biotech/pharma companies and academic centers:

M-TRAM also closely collaborates with the Stanford BioSciCareers, which offers students many opportunities to build connections with companies, organizations, while providing career coaching and connections. Students are encouraged to sign up for Handshake - a database that contains job and internship postings from employers who want to hire Stanford graduates and trainees. Employer and recruiter contacts are also listed in Handshake.

Applications for the 2026/2027 academic year will be available in September 2025.
