Staff Mentorship Program (SMP)

What is SMP?

SMP is designed to foster connection, belonging, and professional growth through meaningful 1:1 mentoring relationships. Participants will build a community, expand their leadership and business acumen, and gain valuable insight into their role within the larger Stanford ecosystem.

Rooted in thought partnership and mutual learning, this program honors the lived experience and expertise of each individual, encouraging collaborative problem-solving to support the growth of both mentees and mentors.

How Does it Work?

Open to staff employed at the School of Medicine for at least one year (mentors: grade levels K+; mentees: grade levels H, I, J), this seven-month program utilizes a traditional 1:1 mentoring model.

Running from January to July, this virtual program leverages the MentorLead platform for precise mentor-mentee matching, interactive webinars, and curated resources. Participants also benefit from leadership panels, gaining insights and access to Stanford leaders while creating community among the cohort.

Staff who are eligible will receive an email directly from the L&OD team.

Please keep an eye on your inbox in early October if you are interested in participating as a mentee or mentor.
