Supervisory Academy

What is Supervisory Academy?

The School of Medicine Supervisory Academy strives to prepare and develop newly promoted and new to Stanford supervisors at all levels in their careers. During this time, you will learn from subject matter experts and engage with other managers across the School of Medicine.

The best practices and solutions shared allow participants to become more effective, successful, and confident leaders.

How Does It Work?

Each program year, we offer 17 unique sessions covering a wide range of topics designed to enhance your managerial skills. You may choose to attend as many or as few sessions as you prefer; however, to receive an official graduation certificate from the program, you must complete 10 individual sessions over two consecutive fiscal years.

All live sessions are two hours long and feature a combination of informative content delivered by our experienced facilitators and interactive group discussions. Enrollment will close for each course once the corresponding Live Session is complete.

You will have one month to complete each course once it opens. For example, in October, the course will open on October 1st. You will have until October 31st to complete all course requirements.
