Leeper Lab alumnus and current U Penn resident, Kevin Nead, is interviewed by CBS News to discuss our latest bioinformatics study linking androgen deprivation therapy with future risk of dementia in subjects with prostate cancer.
11/18/15 - ATVB Young Investigator Award
Drs. Leeper and St. Hilaire moderate the ATVB Young Investigator Award competition at the 2015 American Heart Association meeting. Congratulations to Dr. Zehendner for his work on long noncoding RNAs in vascular disease.
9/25/15 - Leeper Lab Does Sweden!
Dr. Leeper attended the Karolinska Institute fall conference (24th and 25th of September) in Stockholm Sweden to join in their efforts of discovering future concepts in fighting the burden of cardiovascular diseases. This two day conference held discussions on research in cardiovascular diseases, its current clinical treatment possibilities, and future therapeutic opportunities.

His abstract, “Cyclin-Dependent Kinase Inhibitor 2B Regulates Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 Mediated Smooth Muscle Cell Recruitment to Ischemic Blood Vessels,” has been selected as one of the finalists in the Jay D. Coffman Young Investigator Award (YIA) Competition. Vivek will be presenting his research in Baltimore, Maryland on Thursday, June 11 2015 at the Society for Vascular Medicine 26th Annual Scientific Sessions.
