Kirane Lab

We are the research group of Amanda Kirane, Assistant Professor of Surgery and Director of Cutaneous Surgical Oncology at Stanford University. We are a diverse team of immunologists, chemists, molecular biologists, surgeons, bioengineers, and bioinformatics specialists, researching innovative and novel solutions to immunotherapy resistance in melanoma. Our work spans a diversity of approaches including harnessing the power of the innate immune system to improve responses to conventional therapies, unique nano-delivery systems, off-setting immune toxicities, and accelerating cutting-edge technologies to improve biomarker identification and transform cancer therapeutic discovery including utilization of optical assays for diagnostics and translational patient organoid-avatars for predictive modeling.
