Kan Lab

Kan Lab engages with the community to understand bladder health needs and conduct evidence-based research. We create practical resources and interventions for use in schools and clinical settings to support healthy bladder habits.

Our team is recruiting elementary schools in Santa Clara County for a study funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH 1K23DK143350-01). This project aims to better understand school bathroom environments, how young children transition to independent bathroom use, and collaborate with schools to develop interventions.

What participation involves

  • One 30-minute planning meeting with one designated school staff member

  • One school-day visit from our research team

    • No work required from school staff on the observation day
