We are always on the lookout for great scientists or trainees to join our team.
- Post-baccalaureate students finishing college, perhaps thinking about a career in research or an experience in research before going on to graduate or medical school: we generally require a minimum 2 year commitment. For trainees without significant eye experience or from outside the U.S., some opportunities that start as volunteer positions may lead to later paid positions. Please contact Kristina Russano, lab manager, krussano@stanford.edu.
- Graduate (PhD) students apply to Stanford first, and then can rotate in and join the lab for their thesis projects. Information for prospective graduate students can be found here.
- Postdoctoral fellowships are available; generally graduate experience in eye, stem cell, molecular signaling, or neuroscience research is the best initial preparation. Successful experience during graduate school (e.g. with publications and presentations) is required. Please contact Kristina Russano, lab manager, krussano@stanford.edu.
- Clinical research coordinator experiences or positions are often available; please check for information here.
