The VA Cooperative Studies Program Coordinating Center (CSPCC) is seeking a full-time Data Scientist to work within LEAP. The position is with the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS), Mountain View location.

The VA Cooperative Studies Program (CSP)’s mission is to advance the health and care of Veterans to produce innovative and effective solutions to national healthcare problems, through collaborative transformative research studies. As a large division of VA Research and Development, CSP funds, plans and conducts large multicenter clinical interventional trials and observational epidemiological studies in the Department of Veterans Affairs. CSP conducts studies that test management strategies and new therapies for a wide range of medical or psychological conditions, including cancer, heart disease, diabetes, pneumonia, Alzheimer’s, ALS, and PTSD.  The VA Palo Alto CSPCC is one of the five CSPCCs located at VA medical centers across the country. The VA Palo Alto CSPCC has biostatisticians, epidemiologists, statistical programmers, data scientists, clinical data managers and project managers. The VA Palo Alto CSPCC and the VAPAHCS are also involved in the VA’s nationwide Million Veteran Program, a large-scale genetic and molecular epidemiologic initiative.
