Make An Appointment

Scheduling a new patient appointment

To make an appointment for yourself, please call 650-498-9111, option 2. This will connect you with our intake coordinators, who will collect information and complete administrative paperwork. The intake team will also be able to assist with insurance questions.

It is also an option for one of your health care providers to refer you for treatment in our clinic. Please see (link to ‘For Referring Providers’ tab) for more information.

What to expect after your initial call

We typically have a wait list. After you speak to one of our new patient coordinators, you will remain our wait list until a provider has availability to see you. You will not hear from us until close to when a clinic opening becomes available. At that time, a clinician will reach out to you directly to schedule an initial visit. From that point, you can expect to have your first treatment visit within 1-3 weeks, depending on provider availability and your scheduling needs.

What to expect for treatment

During the pandemic, we are only conducting video appointments through a HIPAA compliant platform. SHIP provides only individual (one-on-one) treatment. We do not offer group treatment. Length of treatment varies, but is typically 4-8 sessions. Sessions last between 30-60 minutes. Treatment is one on one, individualized to you, and flexible.
