Deadline to register is Friday, October 25, 2019. No late registrations or cancellations will be accepted after this date. No walk-ins will be accepted. Please have an unrestricted PTA available when you register.

We are now accepting abstract submissions for our Annual Scientific Conference, taking place on November 8-10, 2019 at the Asilomar Conference Grounds.

  • Stanford Immunology Graduate students are required to attend give at least one poster and one scientific oral presentation. Preference for talks will be given to graduates who are nearing program completion.

  • Postdoctoral scholars from all Immunology Program laboratories are invited to submit an abstract of their research. Postdocs on the Immunology Training Grant are required to give either an oral or a poster presentation, typically towards the end of their training period.

  • New First Years are recommended to use this opportunity to get to know their classmates and fellow graduate students, as well as to learn more about faculty research interests

Please let us know if you would like to submit an abstract for an oral presentation or poster. If your research for your talk or poster is published, please list the citation, including the PMCID number.

Please submit your abstract below by Monday, September 30, 2019 to Torye Nguyen at toryen@stanford.edu. We will contact you as soon as possible if your abstract is chosen for an oral presentation. If chosen for a talk, you will be asked to give a preview of your presentation to our Asilomar Planning Committee (date to be scheduled). 


If your abstract has been selected for an oral presentation at our Annual Scientific Conference, the Planning Committee would like to review your presentation on Thursday, November 7 at MSOB Room 169.

Please sign up for your time slot here. Your presentation is allocated for 10 minutes, with 10 minutes for questions.

General information:

The Annual Scientific Conference is held on the California coast at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove. Graduate students, postdocs, Stanford University faculty and staff of the Stanford Immunology program are invited to attend.

Talks are given by various members of the Immunology community, in addition to a poster session competition. Awards for best grad student and postdoc posters are awarded at the end of the retreat.

Immunology graduate students are required to attend and give at least one poster and one scientific presentation at Asilomar during their years in the program.

New first years are recommended to use this opportunity to get to know their classmates and fellow graduate students, as well as to learn more about faculty research interests.

Past retreats have also included a bonfire near the beach and a game show featuring the incoming first years.
