Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide comprehensive care in musculoskeletal infections through seamless collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons and wound care physicians. By integrating innovative research, personalized patient care, and specialized training programs, we aspire to set new standards of excellence in treatment outcomes for our patients.

Musculoskeletal Infectious Diseases Program

The Stanford Musculoskeletal Infectious Diseases Program clinic at Redwood City is one of the few clinics nationally to facilitate coordinated patient visits with infectious disease specialists and different surgical specialties.  With new innovations in surgery and increasing use of implanted devices, there has been a steady increase in related infections.  The complexities of treating these infections require a unified front, with multidisciplinary teams of surgeons and infectious diseases specialists offering comprehensive care to prevent deleterious outcomes, such as amputation.
