Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases

Dr. Subramanian is a Clinical Professor and has been Chief of the Stanford ICH-ID group since 2013. She has been a leader in the field of immunocompromised host infectious diseases for over 20 years and is the recent past chair of the American Society of Transplant Infectious Disease Community of Practice. She has a special interest in expanding innovation and clinical research for immunocompromised patients.

Dr. Brian Blackburn is a Clinical Professor, and has special interests in parasitology, travel and tropical medicine, infections in patients with compromised immune systems, and medical education.  He is the Medical Director of Stanford’s Travel / Tropical Medicine Clinic, and is the Program Director for Stanford’s Infectious Diseases fellowship training program; Dr. Blackburn also serves on several national committees related to infectious diseases training / education and program development.

Dr. Dieringer is a Clinical Assistant Professor. He has a special interest in infections affecting heart transplant recipients as well as invasive fungal infections.  He is passionate about medical education, and leads educational initiatives at all levels.   

Dr. Ferguson Toll is a Clinical Assistant Professor.  Her clinical and research interests include infections in liver transplant recipients.  She is passionate about improving outcomes and leads quality improvement efforts in the Immunocompromised Host Infectious Disease clinic.

Dr. Liu is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology.  Her clinical and research focus includes infections occurring in patients who have undergone cellular therapeutics, patients with primary or acquired immunodeficiencies, and antibiotic allergies and delabeling.
