Meet the Team

Ahmed El Kaffas, PhD, Clinical Instructor 

Ahmed received his B.Eng. and M.S. degree from Ryerson University in 2005 and 2008, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 2014. He is interested in developing ultrasound-based imaging methods to quantitatively characterize attributes of the tumor microenvironment, and to subsequently relate those quantitative parameters to biomarkers that can be used for predicting or monitoring cancer therapy. Dr. Hristov is co-mentoring Ahmed throughout his Postdoctoral fellowship along with Dr. Willmann from Radiology.
