Our Value

The Recruiting Services team partners with departments and units within the School of Medicine on its recruitment needs. We assist in the staff hiring process by sourcing and providing full-cycle recruitment across multiple job levels in Research, Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and IT.

The interview process is conducted at the department level and is guided by our team for compliance and consultation purposes.

Stanford Medicine is an ecosystem comprising the School of Medicine and the pediatric and adult health care delivery systems. Together, we harness the full potential of biomedicine through collaborative research, education, and clinical care for patients of all ages. Our Team

Deborah Valchar, Directing Business Partner

Deborah Valchar joined Stanford’s Talent Acquisition team in February 2021 where she has been the Recruiting Business Partner for the Cancer Clinical Trials Organization (CCTO). Prior to joining the Stanford School of Medicine, Deborah’s career spans more than three decades in both Executive Search Consulting and Corporate HR. She held positions in Corporate Staffing with Huron Consulting Group for 8 years and prior to that, North Highland Consulting, Deloitte, JPMorgan Chase and special consulting to Wells Fargo/Wachovia. Her focus has been to recruit for various industries such as Health Care, Corporate Finance, and Global Wealth Management. In 1992 Deborah also founded her own search firm servicing the global markets for 10 years.

Her academic grounding includes a BA degree in Business Administration from The University of Wisconsin along with various courses in Banking from the Strobel School of Finance.

Jenny Chen, Talent Business Partner

Jenny Chen joined the Talent Acquisition Team in February 2019. She brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources and project management. Prior to Stanford, School of Medicine, Jenny spent several years as a consultant to various high-tech companies in California. In her current role as a Talent Business Partner, Jenny enjoys building relationships with departments, facilitating training, leading/supporting operational programs, and being actively involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. She holds a B.S. in Human Development from the University of California, Davis.

Casey Kipple, Talent Acquisition Business Partner

Casey joined the Recruiting Services team with the School of Medicine in June 2022. She brings over 12 years of experience in recruiting and started her career in the aerospace industry in 2010, where she led the college recruiting and internship program for Orbital Sciences Corporation. She then took the next step in her career and joined the University of Colorado Boulder Talent Acquisition team in 2016. During her time at CU, she supported a variety of departments with full life cycle recruiting support for staff and research faculty roles as well as executive recruitments. Additionally, she led DEI training for faculty and staff on best practices during the recruitment process.

Casey has a BA in English with a Minor in Theatre, from McDaniel College. She has experience with full life cycle recruiting, executive, engineering, research faculty, technical, business operations, finance, human resources, clinical research, and administrative roles. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and fly fishing.

Dante Sinclair, Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist

Dante Sinclair has over 15 years of recruitment and sourcing experience. He joined the talent acquisition team in October of 2017. In his current role as a Sourcing Specialist, Dante works to build relationships with hiring managers and faculty to source and identify candidates for finance, research, scientific, and administrative roles. Before joining Stanford, he worked at Kaiser Permanente for over 4 years where he led recruitment efforts in both clinical and non-clinical positions for the South Bay Medical Center. Partnering with senior leadership, he worked on programs to increase the applicant pool and hiring of diverse and military candidates at the medical center. Dante holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Arizona and an M.S in Education from the University of Miami-Florida.
