Guidance to Recognize and Reward

University HR (UHR) has created a page on best practices for recognizing in the workplace for managers and employees. This also includes University-wide Recognition Programs and information on staff bonuses and incentives. Honorees are celebrated at a special event that coincides with the annual IDEAL DCP Conference, which brings together staff DEIB Community of Practice members from across the university each fall.

Special Awards to Recognize Faculty and Staff

Stanford recognizes faculty and staff with these university-wide awards. In addition to these programs managed by various university offices, schools, and units may also sponsor local recognition awards. This page includes a list of available active awards.

President’s Awards for Excellence Through Diversity

Students, staff and faculty of the Stanford Community are invited to submit nominations for the President’s Awards for Excellence through Diversity. These awards honor individuals and programs that have made exceptional contributions to enhancing and supporting diversity (broadly defined) within the Stanford University community. Three awards may be conferred each year: one award to a campus unit (department, program, or office), one award to a faculty or staff member, and one award to a student or student organization. Nominations are valid for one year.
