Transforming Self and Systems through Praxis Program

In 2021, SoM HRG JEDI Director Shaila Kotadia created and led the HRG/C community through a monthly workshop series to educate and support individuals' growth and learning in the JEDI space. It was called the HRG/C JEDI Journey. 

This new pilot program is an evolution of the JEDI Journey as it seeks to design a more cohesive and thorough approach to exploring JEDI topics. The program is designed and will be facilitated by Shaila and JEDI Assistant Director Matt Griffith. The pilot was nine weeks long from Sept 20 to Nov 1, 2022.

The overall goals of the program are:

1) To cultivate critical reflection of self and one’s lived experiences

2) To explore and deepen understanding of structural and systematic systems of power and oppression

3) To empower HRG and HR Cluster (HRG/C) staff to take action in their personal and professional lives; and, 

4) To foster and extend an inclusive culture for building community and cultivating relationships across the landscape

This 9-week pilot is open to all members of the HRG/C community, though it is specially intended for new members to the HRG/C community who did not participate in the 2021 JEDI Journey. We encourage individuals who would like deeper action and reflection on JEDI principles to also apply to the program. When signing up for this program, you are committing to all sessions.
