EECI's Institutional Efforts
Our team participates in Stanford University and Stanford Medicine's efforts to support staff communities and develop new processes, systems, and practices that foster a more positive culture within our institution. Examples include, but are not limited to, leadership and/or membership on the Stanford Medicine Alliance for Disability Inclusion and Equity (SMADIE) and its Policies, Procedures, and Protocols Subcommittee, as well as the Stanford Medicine Diversity Cabinet's LGBTQ+ Subcommittee and its employee well-being subgroup. We collaborate with partners across our organizations through these groups for broad-scale change. We elevate staff concerns to create impactful change and inform our constituents of any updates and progress with the committees' goals.

Transparency and trust are core to how we work. To practice effective leadership, we believe in being open and transparent with those we serve and partner with. Transparency and trust strengthen our relationships by building accountability, dependability, and mutual understanding among community members and with each other.
Exploration & Possibility
Exploration and possibility define our process. We offer consultations and services that redefine what is possible at work and explore new ideas through curiosity and compassionate inquiry. From curiosity and compassionate inquiry, we co-create innovative solutions grounded in our organization’s values, purpose, and meaning.
Influence & Advocate
Influence and advocate inspire how we lead. We center staff experiences and foster meaningful, strategic partnerships with leaders at all levels. Using data-informed practices, we seek to understand and amplify staff needs to leaders as we champion change that will create a positive impact throughout our organization.
Community & Belonging
Community and belonging are why we do our work. We work collaboratively with staff through collective action planning and offer opportunities where staff members can build connections and share their stories in spaces where they are treated with dignity and valued and accepted for who they are.
Resilience & Grace
Resilience and grace are how we support each other. Recognizing that change is constant, resilience and grace help us navigate through the challenges and uncertainty we experience at work and beyond. We extend respect, kindness, and grace to ourselves and others to withstand, recover, and grow from difficult situations.
Transformation & Joy
Transformation and joy are our guiding principles. We believe that transformational shifts and culture change are possible through employee-led and employee-driven efforts. Through cultivating joy and radically dreaming with a human-centered approach, we remain inspired, optimistic, and hopeful for the future.
