School of Medicine Research Staff Community of Support

The SoM Research Staff Community of Support includes researchers from varying departments, positions (e.g., research technicians, clinical researchers, research grant writers, etc.), and career stages coming together to support each other beyond technical skills. All staff who work within Stanford Medicine research environments are welcome to join. We host quarterly touchpoints that addressing current issues that research staff face, sharing resources, networking, and community building.

The Research Staff Community of Support is a space specifically for research staff to grow, develop, learn, and engage with a focus on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Our goal is to offer support research staff, especially minoritized staff.

Additional Staff Communities

Developmental Community of Practice (DCP)

The DCP is a developmental community of practice for all staff who seek to fulfill the university’s mission while ensuring that all members of our community can flourish and do their best work. This community embraces: Professional Development, Organizational Development, Community Development, Cultural Development and People Development. We seek to scale our impact by intentionally working in collaboration and community, and we offer all staff an opportunity to build meaningful connections.

Stanford Communities of Practice

We are Stanford professionals interested in growing effective collaborative communities across Stanford. A "Community of Practice" (CoP) is a very effective, evolved form of collaborative community, including a directory of active communities of practice.
