How long is the LEAP program?
Participants have 8 weeks to complete the course. The Summer 2022 cohort will take place from May 2 - June 24, 2022.
How much does LEAP cost?
200 STAP dollars.
Who is the program designed for?
The audience we created the course for are apiring leaders within Stanford University, School of Medicine.
What if I'm not in the School of Medicine?
That is okay, we believe in institutional collaboration and connection. We do ask that you register with your SUNet and Stanford email to help us track participation.
What is the difference between the Enhanced vs. the Self-Paced version?
Enhanced: This course has 4 Live Sessions you are expected to attend. For the cohort beginning on May 2, 2022 the Live Session dates and times are as follows:

- Live Session 2: May 18, 2022 10:00 - 11:00am PT
- Live Session 3: June 7, 2022 12:30 - 1:30pm PT

- Group B:
- Live Session 1: May 3, 2022 2:00 - 3:00pm PT

Self-Paced: This course can be completed on your own time within the 8 weeks. For the Summer 2022 cohort, the timeline is May 2 - June 24, 2022.
How many people will be in my cohort?
In the Enhanced course, you'll have a small cohort of 20 people. In the Self-Paced cohort you'll have up to 100 colleagues to connect with.
What are the community guidelines?
Excellent question, all of our courses align to the same Online Community Guidelines. Feel free to read through them anytime.
How many hours should I commit to the program?
We estimate a total of 30-60 hours of content and activity throughout the course. Our weekly estimate is 5 hours per week. Remember, you get out of this course what you put into it and, therefore, we recommend alotting for a minimum of 40 hours over the course of 8 weeks.
What platform are you using?
We utilize Coursera for this course. In the Enhanced cohort you'll also utilize Zoom for the Live Sessions.
How do I register?
Once registration opens for the next cohort, you will use your SUNet ID and Stanford email. This link will take you to a Qualtrics Form and we will accept applicants on a first-come, first-served, basis.
Summer 2022 Cohort Participants Only: What happens after I register?
For the Summer 2022 cohort, you'll be notified by April 27, 2022 that you have been accepted and the next steps. If you are not selected for this cohort you will be given additional opportunities for registration.
What are the learning outcomes? What am I expected to take away from this course?
Excellent question! By the end of the course, LEAPers will:
- Recognize and utilize their strengths identified on the StrengthsFinder assessment to be successful in and out of the workplace.
- Identify and define their blindspots through the StrengthsFinder assessment.
- Recognize when they are receiving feedback and how to turn feedback into actionable insights around blind spots.
- Receive and give feedback with intentional outcomes for conversations.
- Explain when and why it is appropriate to give feedback.
- Practice listening actively.
- Develop their personal brand using feedback, active listening and influence.
- Demonstrate in a capstone project how the course concepts promote their successful career development.
