Quick Instructions

1. Dial 233 or +1-800-242-9770
2. Dial your 6-digit dictation ID, # (also known as your MD number, same as healthstream login)
3. Dial the clinic area code (see below), #
4. Dial the work type (see below), #
5. Dial the MRN, #
6. Begin your dictation with the last 4 digits of the encounter CSN number, your name, and the name of your attending
7. Press 5 to finish the recording

Listen to Dictated Reports

1. Press 233 or +1-800-242-9770
2. Enter your ID, #
3. Enter your location number, followed by star 1 (*1) to switch to Review mode. 
4. Press 1 to review by MRN, press 2 to review by job number. 
5. Enter the MRN or job number, followed by the # sign. 
6. If reviewing by job number, the dictation will automatically play. Press 3 to Rewind. 
7. If reviewing by MRN, each available job will play in succession. Press 44 to skip to end. 
8. While listening to a job, press 8 to return to the main review menu.

Best Practices

• H&P dictations must be signed within 24 hours of admission.
• Since Operative reports take time to dictate, an immediate post-op note should be signed prior to the transferring the patient to the next level of care.
• Operative Reports must be completed within 24 hours of surgery.
• Discharge Summaries should be completed within 7 days of discharge.
