During medical school, he received a Howard Hughes Medical Institute fellowship to study the development of myeloid neoplasms with Dr. Jeff Tyner and Dr. Brian Druker at Oregon Health & Science University. He went on to com- plete his residency training at Stanford University, where he gained a deep apprecia- tion of the need for basic/translational research and specialized clinical care for young adults diagnosed with cancer. He looks forward to continuing his training at Stanford as a fellow, where his research focus will be to gain further insight into the unique biologic features of cancers predominantly affecting young adults.
