Mark received his MD and PhD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Mark’s PhD work focused on using genomic techniques to define mechanisms of microRNA biology in cancer where he collaborated with an international group of researches in the TCGA and ICGC projects. He then completed residency training at Stanford University as part of Stanford’s Translational Investigator Program. Mark is excited to continue his training as part of the research pathway in the Stanford Hematology/Oncology program. In fellowship Mark hopes to continue defining underlying mechanisms of tumor molecular biology using next generation sequencing technology to advance cancer diagnostics and therapeutics.
