Ruwan Gunaratne

 

 

A native of Tampa, Florida, Ruwan completed his undergraduate degree at Harvard University (chemistry and physics) before pursuing MSTP training at Duke University where he earned a PhD in pharmacology. Under the guidance of Prof. Bruce Sullenger, he worked on the development of novel therapeutics for applications including reversible anticoagulation, inflammation, and cancer metastasis. Having most recently completed his medical residency at Stanford University, he is looking forward to continuing his fellowship training here, with particular interests in utilizing technologies based on genomic and precision medicine for the treatment of benign and malignant hematological disorders.
