Jimbo grew up on a farm in Mississippi and received his undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Vanderbilt University. He then returned home to the University of Mississippi for medical school before moving to California for his residency in internal medicine at Stanford. As a fellow, Jimbo hopes to continue his research on the socioeconomics of cancer care and global oncology.
