Meet your host
Maya Adam is the Director of Health Media Innovation and a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Stanford School of Medicine. She also serves as Faculty Lead for the Global Health Media Innovation Lab and, since 2023, she is Associate Director for the Center for Digital Health at Stanford. Dr. Adam creates and evaluates innovative approaches to scalable, video-based global health messaging. She received her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from Stanford, her medical degree from the University of British Columbia and her doctoral research degree from the Heidelberg University Institute of Global Health in Germany. Before her career in academic medicine, Dr. Adam spent 10 years as a professional ballet dancer.
