The Hawai‘i Gender ECHO Program was created to expand access to gender-affirming care for keiki (youth) in Hawai‘i.
Using the ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) model, the Hawai'i Gender ECHO Program (G-ECHO) is working to cultivate connections with providers in the community and offer ongoing learning opportunities for professionals who work with gender-expansive youth.
Supported by philanthropy, G-ECHO is expanding access to gender-affirming care for youth through trainings for Hawai‘i-based healthcare providers, creating a network of affirming providers, and identifying referral pathways to make care more accessible.
*The Hawai‘i G-ECHO Program does not provide consultations directly to clients, but the Sexual and Gender Minorities (SGM) Resource Hub through the Hawai‘i Department of Health has many helpful resources available on their website.
