Xuejun Gu, Ph.D. - Associate Professor, University Medical Line and Director of Translational Research
Xuejun Gu is the Associate Professor of Medical Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Stanford University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Tianjin University and her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University. Her research interests revolve around online adaptive radiotherapy, brain radiosurgery, and brain metastases management.
Zi Yang, Ph.D., Resident
Zi Yang joined the Stanford University Medical Physics Residency in 2023. She is from a historic city, Xi’an, in China. There, she received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2016. She then obtained her M.S. in Medical Physics from Duke University in 2018 and Ph.D. in Medical Physics from UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2023. Zi’s doctoral research mainly focused on applying AI techniques to enhance radiation therapy.
Kangning Zhang, Ph.D., Postdoc
Kangning Zhang is a postdoctotal researcher at the Stanford University Medical Physics Division in the Department of Radiation Oncology. He received his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2015. He then obtained his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2018, and M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Davis in 2023. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Davis in 2024. His reserach interersts include Computational Imaging, Physics-informed Machine Learning, and Applied Math.
Riya Prashad, B.S., Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator
Riya Prashad is an ACRC in the Medical Physics Division of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Stanford University. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering, with a minor in Computer Science, from the University of California, Davis in 2024.
