Dr. Jason Nagata selected for Pediatric Scientist Development Program

Dr. Jason Nagata, Mary Duke Biddle scholar, and 3rd year pediatrics resident in the Global Health scholarly concentration.

Congratulations to Dr. Jason Nagata who has been selected for the Pediatric Scientist Development Program. PDSP is a NIH-funded fellowship program that selects 5 pediatric fellows nationally per year across all subspecialties to participate in 2-3 years of intensive research training, with the goal of preparing fellows for research careers in academic pediatrics.

Nagata, who was a Mary Duke Biddle scholar and is a third-year pediatrics resident in the Global Health scholarly contration, will be focusing on epidemiology and biostatistics training related to obesity and disordered eating behaviors in adolescents. His second and third years of fellowship will be dedicated 100% to research. He is the first fellow in the field of adolescent medicine to receive PSDP funding.
