About Us

Our research is dedicated to new discoveries that will impact patient care and population health. Here we highlight the cutting edge and transformative laboratory based and translational research being done by faculty and trainees in the Division of General Surgery. The goal of our Surgical Science Section is to foster and promote innovative research, facilitate transdisciplinary collaborations and train the next generation of surgeon scientist with an interest in laboratory based and translation research. As you can see the investigators interests in the surgical science section spans basic mechanistic studies to translational research with near-term potential to impact patient care.
