Dr. Ruhle Joins MIS Section

Dr. Brian Ruhle has been appointed to the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor in Surgery effective September 1, 2024. Ruhle will be in the Section of Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery and practice mainly at Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley.

“Dr. Ruhle embodies the rare combination of excellent surgical skill, genuine warmth and a collaborative spirit that made him a beloved MIS fellow among clinicians, patients and staff alike,” said Dr. Yulia Zak, Assistant Director of the MIS/Bariatric Fellowship Program. “I am thrilled that he will be joining our team once again.”

Ruhle earned his medical degree at The State University of New York Upstate. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Chicago where he also earned a Master of Science in Public Health Science. He went on to complete two fellowships, one inAdvanced MIS/bariatric surgyer at Stanford and one in endocrine surgery at University of California, Los Angeles.
