    On Friday, March 19, Stanford Surgery welcomed 24 new interns as part of the 2021 National Resident Matching Program. The new intern class is expected to start at the end of June 2021.

    Dr. Sherry Wren was selected as a recipient of a Carleton Alumni Association Award this year. According to Carleton's website, the award recognizes alumni who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their field or community.

    Dr. Wapnir Receives Cancer Innovation Award

    Dr. Irene Wapnir has received the Stanford Cancer Institute's Clinical Innovation Award. The $50,000 seed grant will fund her research project: “Extending Clinical Trial Access to Underserved Women with Ductal Carcinoma in Situ."
