    Dr. Hawn Elected President-elect of SSAT

    Dr. Mary Hawn was elected President-Elect of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Track at their annual meeting earlier this month. Hawn will assume the position of president in 2026, succeeding current society president Dr. Gregory D. Kennedy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

    Rathmann Fellowship Selects Dr. M. Pratt

    Dr. Malerie Pratt, a clinical instructor on Stanford's acute care surgery team, has been chosen as a 2025-26 Rathmann Medical Education Fellow. The fellowship will provide $50K salary support and $5K project support for her to complete a research project and teach in the school of medicine.
