Communities

Minority Genetic Professional Network is an organization designed to provide mentorship to students and professionals in the field of clinical genetics at all stages, including prospective students for genetic counseling programs, with the aim of diversifying the field.

Alliance for Genomic Justice provides educational and career support to diversify the workforce.


Research

The Journal of Genetic Counseling showcases research in the genetic counseling space. Though many of the articles in JOGC are behind a paywall and only accessible if you are a member of NSGC and/or your institution has access, some of the articles are free to the public. 


Financial

Khan Academy Loans are educational videos that focus on financial literacy and loans for higher education.

The Federal Student Aid website includes tools for understanding options available to graduate students including a loan repayment simulator and descriptions of federal loans.

Explore Health Careers Funding Opportunities is a search engine that will let you search for a variety of scholarships and grants that fit your personal needs and qualifications.

Stanford's Financial Aid office has information on loan options, including a search and comparison tool for private loans.
