Hepatology Fellowship

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology offers a dedicated hepatology fellowship.

We have active Hepatology faculty that has a comprehensive expertise ranging from viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease, end stage liver disease, hepatobiliary malignancies and liver transplantation.

Following the legacy of Dr. Emmet Keefe, the Hepatology and Liver Transplantation Program at Stanford has a long-standing reputation as a premier hepatology group in patient care and research.

The goal of this fellowship is to train academic hepatologists with expertise in liver transplantation. Our curriculum consists of consultative inpatient service, procedures, outpatient practice and scholarly development.

Our Hepatology Fellowship Program is not ACGME certified and thus does not require a Gastroenterology Board

"Stanford remains at the cutting edge of research and clinical training. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a  fellow at Stanford, where I was able to do groundbreaking research and learn gastroenterology from master clinicians, It continues to be exciting every day"
