The goal of the Stanford cirrhosis and portal hypertension program is to provide comprehensive and timely care to patients with advanced-stage liver disease and its complications. We have developed multidisciplinary care pathways for the prompt management of patients with symptomatic disease.
CONDITIONS
We treat the following conditions:
- Complications of Cirrhosis
- Ascites
- Hepatic encephalopathy
- GI bleeding
- Malnutrition
- Infections

We have extensive experience in selecting the right patients for the right trials.
