2026 Sherman Emerging Leader Prize
Congratulations to Sidhartha R. Sinha, MD, recipient of the 2026 Sherman Emerging Leader Prize, which recognizes rising leaders making important contributions to inflammatory bowel disease care. Dr. Sinha was honored for turning unconventional ideas into patient-centered treatments and technologies designed around patients' needs. His work spans nutrition, targeted drug delivery, microbiome research, less invasive disease monitoring, and new therapeutic approaches for difficult complications of Crohn's disease and primary sclerosing cholangitis.

Robert Huang, MD, MPH
NCI R37 Award
Congratulations to Dr. Robert Huang on receiving a prestigious NCI R37 MERIT Award for Gastroshare: Integrating Electronic Health Systems to Improve the Management of Gastric Precursors across Multiethnic Populations. The R37, reserved for early-stage investigators with exceptionally meritorious research, will support work to leverage electronic health systems to improve surveillance, risk stratification, and management of gastric precancerous lesions in the U.S.
