Gastroenterology and Hepatology New Physician Onboarding Checklist

W. Ray Kim, Division Chief

Welcome Aboard!

I am so excited to have you join the faculty of the Division.  You are an essential member of the Division that is growing in its depth and breadth of its expertise.  More importantly, you are now part of a family that trusts and cares for each other.  Please stop by in the near future so everyone in the office can welcome you in person.

This packet is designed to help you through the lengthy and somewhat complex process of onboarding.  Please start this process as soon as possible (at least six months in advance of your official start date) to avoid any potential problems with time sensitive requirements.  This is especially important if you are new to working at Stanford.

Onboarding Packet

Please note that there are several different aspects to the whole onboarding process: Credentialing, Billing, Academic Appointment, and Other Logistics (both within and without your clinic).  While these aspects are almost completely separate, with different contacts and requirements, they all must be completed prior to or around your targeted start date.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask your Division Manager or your Administrative Contact.  Their contact information can also be found in the “Contacts” page in the back of this packet. We would like to help make this as seamless a transition for you as possible!
