Curriculum

The year is divided into seven rotations of 7-8 weeks each:

PGY2

  • PM&R Clinics at Palo Alto VA (focus on MSK)
  • Polytrauma inpatient at Palo Alto VA
  • Spinal Cord injury at Palo Alto VA
  • PM&R Clinics at Valley Medical Center (focus on TBI and SCI)  there are 2 separate rotations at this location
  • Spinal cord injury at Valley Medical Center
  • Traumatic brain injury at Valley Medical Center

 

PGY3

  • Sports Medicine at Stanford Medicine Outpatient Center
  • Spine Medicine at Stanford Medicine Outpatient Center
  • PM&R Clinics at Palo Alto VA (2 week elective time)
  • Spinal cord injury at Valley Medical Center
  • Inpatient consults at Valley Medicial Center
  • PM&R Clinics at Valley Medicial Center (focus on TBI and SCI care)
  • Pediatrics at Kaiser Oakland/Santa Clara, Lucille Packard Children;s Hospital and Subacute Saratoga Hospital

PGY4

  • Inpatient consults at Stanford Hospital
  • Spine Medicine at Stanford Medicine Outpatient Center
  • Consults at Palo Alto VA 
  • Spinal cord injury at Palo Alto VA
  • Polytrauma at Palo Alto (with outpatient clinic experiences)
  • Inpatient rehabiliation at St. Mary's Hospital
  • EMG at Valley Medicial Center
  • 2 Week Elective Time

About one weekend of in-home call per month

PGY4

About one weekend of in-home call every other month
