Why I chose Stanford PM&R: incredibly warm and collaborative culture among residents and faculty that I experienced on my away rotation, the diverse patient population that we get to serve through a variety of clinical settings, the opportunity to learn from so many leaders and innovators in the field of PM&R, plenty of protected education time, the overall vibe of wellness, and the perfect location for me since I am closer to my family in LA and get to explore the Bay Area for the first time!

Why I chose Stanford PM&R: Stanford's PM&R program is what made me fall in love with the field; the dedication residents and attendings had to ensuring patients could thrive resonated with me. The strength of the program across the many subspecialties of PM&R, especially adaptive sports, spine, and pain, along with unique multidisciplinary opportunities to work with other Stanford programs, and the unparalleled support and excitement I received immediately from faculty and residents even through email, were only a few of the scores of reasons I knew I would be the happiest at Stanford. I am ecstatic everyday to be fortunate enough to be training in such a remarkable field at such a special program.

Professional Interests: Interventional spine/procedures, pain, adaptive sports/sports, biomechanics in prosthetic limbs, legislation in medicine.
Personal Interests: Surfing, diving, spearfishing (any water activity), camping, hiking, walking, snowboarding, horseback riding, rock climbing, golf (any reason to be outdoors), cooking, dancing, karaoke, traveling and travel planning, government/legislative/policy work, real estate/boat/competition (all) reality tv shows.
Fun Facts: Lived on a dive boat for a few weeks over the Great Barrier Reef to teach SCUBA diving and teach guests about ocean conservation, then moved to Phillip Island to work with Fairy Penguins, yay!

Why I chose Stanford PM&R: Excellent inpatient rehabilitation education and experience that will prepare me for my career. Great diversity of training sites and patient presentations. I will have ample procedural experience. I can learn from physicians who are experts in their respective fields. It is a beautiful area to explore.

Why I chose Stanford: I chose to train at Stanford because of the well-balanced and diverse inpatient and outpatient experiences. Learning from exceptional faculty, coupled by amazing opportunities in sports coverage, interventional spine/pain, and general inpatient rehab will afford me the most well-rounded training possible.

Why I chose Stanford PM&R: Of course, Stanford offers incredible training opportunities, and I can’t wait to learn more from our world-renowned faculty. However, my biggest draw was the amazing culture among the residents and faculty. It was clear that everyone genuinely enjoyed working together here. I immediately felt at home!
