Evaluation 101
This workshop will engage researchers in a rich discussion about the historic purposes of evaluation and how it has evolved and incorporated principles of equity in recent years. The session will challenge a conventional framework for evaluation and introduce meaningful ways to engage stakeholders. Participants will also be introduced to a framework and template for planning evaluation projects.

Betsy Block
Betsy Block, MPP ACC-ACTC CPCC/ORSCC is the Lead Coach-Catalyst at B3 Coach, and Professor of Practice at Mills College at Northeastern University Lokey College of Business and Public Policy. Ms. Block has extensive experience in program evaluation and strategic planning, having worked in government, philanthropy and as a consultant supporting nonprofits. Her work has included managing the evaluation work for a county workforce program; implementing a federally-funded evaluation capacity building program; and helping national nonprofits overhaul their strategic plans. Today, Ms. Block focuses her time coaching management teams at small/mid-size nonprofits as they navigate strategic changes. She is on the Board of Directors of Community Initiatives, a fiscal sponsor that supports nonprofit projects. She earned her MPP at the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California Berkeley, is one of the first people in the world to get an Advanced Credential in Team Coaching from the International Coach Federation.
