Men Engaging as Allies for Gender Equity
Virtual via Zoom
During this virtual session, the speakers will make the business case for male engagement in gender equality while integrating why it is beneficial for employees and organizations. Smith and Johnson will operationalize male allyship and will provide actionable, evidence-based best practices for individuals and organizational leaders who want to be intentional inclusive allies, leveraging mentorship, sponsorship, and workplace partnership to create more diverse and inclusive workplaces. The speakers will note some research findings on intersectionality issues in the workplace, as well as how allyship tactics can be applied across the gender spectrum. Attendees will leave with a clearer sense of how to be better allies, how to describe better ally behavior, and how to foster a culture of allyship.
