Please join us at this virtual event to celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at Stanford Medicine, to network and recognize student, trainee, and faculty leaders in the DEI space.
We are honored to be joined by Dr. Augustus White, the first African American graduate from Stanford University School of Medicine, who will present the Augustus White III and Family Faculty Professionalism Award to this year's recipient.
At this DEI awards reception, we will celebrate:
Dr. Augustus A. White III
- The sixth recipient of the Dr. Augustus White III and Family Faculty Professionalism Award, which serves to recognize outstanding work in helping to reduce health disparities or to enhance the effectiveness of minorities in the university community through research, education, mentoring or service.
The Graduate Education Faculty Award for Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion, which recognizes faculty & academic staff who make distinguished contributions towards enhancing diversity, equity & inclusion across Stanford Biosciences.
The Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Societal Citizenship, which recognizes students who make exemplary contributions towards promoting social justice, diversity and inclusion, meaningful participation in civic life, and/or awareness of societal issues that impact our communities.
