Al’ai Alvarez, MD
Clinical Associate Professor, Emergency Medicine
Dr. Alvarez a nationally recognized physician leader specializing in physician wellness, workforce inclusion, and emergency medicine (EM) at Stanford University.
As Director of Well-Being for Stanford EM and Interim Director of the Stanford Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE), he focuses on humanizing healthcare through evidence-based approaches to preventing clinician burnout, enhancing team performance, and fostering wellness-centered, compassionate leadership
Grace Gengoux, PhD, BCBA-D
Clinical Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
Grace Gengoux, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is a Clinical Professor, Director of the Autism Intervention Clinic, and the Well-being Director within Stanford University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Along with colleagues at Stanford, Dr. Gengoux has written a new book focused on professional well-being and practical strategies to promote resilience for providers of mental health care.
Neelam Goyal, MD
Clinical Professor, Neurology
Dr. Neelam Goyal earned her medical degree at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. Subsequently, she completed her neurology residency, which included a chief year, followed by a fellowship year in neurophysiology, specializing in neuromuscular disorders and EMG nerve conduction studies at Stanford University Medical Hospital. After graduating, she joined the faculty of Stanford University School of Medicine in 2012. She is currently a Clinical Professor of Neurology and Neurological Sciences in the division of Neuromuscular Medicine.
Jessica Gold, MD
Clinical Associate Professor, Pediatrics
Dr. Gold is the Well-being Director for the department of Pediatrics, and Faculty Director for WellMD and Well PhD at Stanford Medicine. She has served as a Faculty Coach in the pediatric residency program since 2019.
Kathleen Horst, MD
Professor, Radiation Oncology
Dr. Horst is a board-certified Radiation Oncologist and Associate Professor at Stanford University, specializing in breast radiation oncology and holding the distinction of being a Fellow of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (FASTRO). She graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine, completed her residency at Stanford, and is affiliated with Stanford Health Care and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford.
