HEAL Talks: Community Advisory Boards – Meeting the Community Where They Are At
Virtual via Zoom
Community Advisory Boards are a critical resource for research and practical improvement in healthcare. Based on experience across a number of contexts, this talk explores the practical nuts and bolts of bi-directional engagement with Community Advisory Boards, including evaluating their impact and continuous improvement. This talk builds on work in multiple contexts: Presence 5 for Racial Justice, focused on supporting excellent primary care for Black patients (PI Donna Zulman); the Long Covid REACH project, focused on expanding Long Covid care to Bay Area Federally Qualified Health Centers (PI Linda Geng); and Text2Quit, a tobacco cessation texting project set in Kenya (PI Christine Ngaruiya).
