Department of Medicine-Stanford Network for Advancement and Promotion (Med-SNAP) Program
- Affiliation: Medicine
- Details: The Department of Medicine established the Med-SNAP Program to enhance leadership skills and foster a supportive community among faculty. The SNAP program was originally started by Dr. Odette Harris in partnership with the Office of Faculty Development and Diversity with a single school-wide cohort and has expanded to 13 departments. Med-SNAP focuses on building connections amongst small groups of faculty where they discuss common challenges in academic medicine, such as advancement and workplace dynamics. Participants in the program engage in high-impact discussions facilitated by experienced leaders from the GSB, enabling them to share effective strategies and support one another. The program launched in Fall 2024 with two cohorts, each meeting monthly for eight sessions September through May.
