2021 MedEd Innovation Studio

MEIS took place in April of 2021

We invited our School of Medicine faculty to participate in MedEd Innovation Studio, was an 8-week online program focused on using design thinking for curriculum development. During this workshop series, our faculty learned how to apply new ways of teaching and learning in their courses and programs in real-time. This project-based program featured a blend of large group, small group, and asynchronous activities, as well as weekly one-on-one coaching. Since they were applying what they learned in real-time, they were teaching or administering a course of some kind during the program.

We were excited to welcome our facilitator, Meenu Singh, a designer and lecturer with the Stanford d.school with experience in design thinking, faculty development, and medical education.

Admission was free thanks to the Evaluation and Instructional Development Department, with funding through an EdTech Mini-grant.
