Welcome!
We are the People Operations (POPs) team in the Stanford School of Medicine’s Educational Programs & Services (EPS) department. We help shape, maintain, and continuously improve key operational systems, processes, and tools to positively impact the employment journey.
As trusted partners, we collaborate with staff and managers to hire, develop, retain, and empower a workforce diverse in knowledge, thoughts, and experiences. We operate with a process improvement mindset, sharing resources to enable employee success and welcome feedback on an ongoing basis.
Please do not hesitate to contact our team with additional questions – we are here to help!
You may route HR-related questions to eps_human_resources@stanford.edu and operation-related questions to pinkym@stanford.edu.

For employees and students who wish to carry out their breastfeeding goals after returning to work or study, Stanford seeks to provide an accommodating and supportive environment. Please visit the Lactation Support website for policies and resources to aid you as a lactating mother returning to work.
You may express breastmilk wherever you feel comfortable. A list of all known dedicated lactation spaces is available here. The list includes details about rooms in or near EPS work locations: Alway M225; Beckman B1S3, B2S2, B3S3, and B4S4; Lane L2R3A; LKSC313; and 1520 Page Mill Road 320R.
Please contact the EPS HR Team for any additional support or questions, including assistance designing alternate lactation locations or arrangements.
The pay periods at Stanford are the 1st-15th and the 16th-end of the month.
Timecards must be submitted by the employee and approved by the supervisor before the last day of the pay period, although individual departments may set earlier deadlines. Earlier deadlines are set for all departments before Winter Closure and in the case of a holiday near the end of a pay period. Watch for reminder emails from HR Administrator Martha Moreno each pay period, which will list deadlines and any special considerations.
For questions about W-2s or withholdings, please contact Payroll by submitting a Payroll Help Ticket.
Stanford recommends electronic delivery of W-2s. To opt in, open the Axess Employee Center tab, then select Taxes, then W-2/W-2c Consent. Here, you may view or update your consent preferences. Once electronic delivery has been approved, you will be able to receive your W-2s on Axess.
If you are considering a leave of absence, please contact Disability and Leave Services Specialist Jennifer Amos.
